Advocating for the inclusion of lived experience is one of the fundamental objectives of CHANNAL. CHANNAL's unique ability to speak confidently on issues related to mental health and addictions positions our organization as a leader in advocating for and impacting change.

Our staff's collective lived experiences create a valuable lens to provide guidance, support and insight to government, business and many other decision-making groups. We provide that support in multiple ways:

Consultation on the approach and language of a variety of materials including policies, procedures, guidelines, regulations, and legislations.

Representation of lived experience on formal and informal Agencies, Boards, and Commissions (ABC's) as well as other decision-making committees and groups.

Facilitation and support on engagement of lived experience.
